SAMR (SAC) Releases a Number of National Standards in Foreign Language Version

SAMR (SAC) recently released 398 national standards in foreign language version, which cover agriculture, forestry, food, consumer products, textile products, equipment materials, transport and logistics, information technology, social management, energy conservation and carbon emission reduction, and medical technology. These standards will play an active role in promoting trade facilitation and international cooperation and exchanges, as well as improving the business environment.

 

In terms of promoting trade facilitation, the standards such as Inspection of grain and oils—Determination of milling degree of rice (GB/T 5502-2018), Terms for cargo handling in port (GB/T 8487-2010), Woven children’s clothing (GB/T 31900-2015), and Woven garments for infants (GB/T 33271-2016) help facilitate the trade logistics, and improve the quality of consumer products.

 

In terms of serving the international cooperation and exchanges, the standards such as Connection set for conductive charging of electric vehicles—Part 3: DC charging coupler (GB/T 20234.3-2023), Safety requirements and test methods for electrical self-balancing vehicles (GB/T 34668-2023), Nanotechnology—Performance testing for laser confocal microscope Raman spectrometers (GB/T 33252-2016), General specifications for modular design of service robot (GB/T 33261-2016), and, Standardized manipulations of acupuncture and moxibustion―Part 16: Abdominal acupuncture (GB/T 21709.16-2013) are conducive to international communication and experience sharing on standards and driving the science and technology to better benefit the world.

 

In terms of improving the business environment, the standards such as Technical specification for crossing signal equipment in wayside (GB 10494-2018), Safety requirements for portable wood ladders (GB 7059-2007), and Safety requirements for fixed steel ladders and platform―Part 1: Steel vertical ladders (GB 4053.1-2009) help continuously promote safety in production, and create a safe and first-class business environment.
