The Action Plan for Leading Equipment Upgrading and Consumer Goods Trade-in Programs with Standards was jointly released recently by seven ministries and commissions including State Administration for Market Regulation.

 

The action plan sets the tasks of implementing the action for standards improvement, focusing on the leading role of standards and orderly improvement, and enhancing standards comparison and optimal system building. Standards development and revision will be accelerated in the areas such as energy conservation and carbon reduction, environmental protection, safety, and recycling.

 

The action plan also specifies related supporting measures, and puts forward the overall planning and coordinated implementation of standards and policies. Green products and high-end quality certification will be vigorously pushed. The catalogue for quality and safety supervision of consumer goods will be created to strengthen the supervision and random inspection of product quality. A batch of Chinese standards in foreign versions will be published to promote the superior technologies, products and services of China to go global.

 

Meanwhile, supervision and inspection will be reinforced to monitor and evaluate the effect and problems of standards implementation, to practically push forward the implementation of the action plan with progress, and maximize the release of standardization efficiency.
