China-Germany Standardization Cooperation Further Enhanced

The China-Germany Standardization Strategy Working Group was held via video link on November 5, which was attended by Dr. Tian Shihong, Vice-Minister of State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and Administrator of Standardization Administration of China (SAC).

 

The German participants included Stefan Schnorr, Director-General of Digital and Innovation Policy Department at Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), Christoph Winterhalter, CEO of DIN as well as Michael Teigeler, Managing Director of DKE.

 

The two sides held in-depth discussions on key topics such as ISO Strategy 2030, London Declaration, IEC strategy as well as machine readable standards. They reached a consensus on further enhancing the communication and cooperation in each field, and driving bilateral standardization cooperation for more substantive achievements.

 

The meeting was also attended by representatives from Standards Innovative Management Department and Standards Technical Management Department of SAMR, Shanghai Administration for Market Regulation and Shenzhen Technology University.

 

A few days earlier, the meetings on the intelligent manufacturing/Industry 4.0 working group and the electric vehicle working group between the two countries were held.
