The three-day 16th International Standards Olympiad closed on August 26, where nine Chinese students won three gold medals. A total of 120 students from six countries including China, South Korea, Kenya, Rwanda, Indonesia and Singapore participated in the contest.
The Chinese team was selected among 47 teams from ten provinces and cities in China. China Association for Standardization was responsible for the training and relevant activities before the final contest, under the guidance of Standards Innovative Management Department of SAMR.
Participating in the International Standards Olympiad is an effective way to publicize the basic knowledge about standardization and enhance youngsters' standardization awareness. China has actively participated in the game every year since 2018.
