SAMR held an experience exchange meeting on how standards on driver assistance safety of intelligent and connected vehicle help stabilize the industrial and supply chains and a launch event for national standards in Shenzhen city, Guangdong province, on September 26, 2024. Mr. Liu Jun, Vice Minister of SAMR, attended the meeting.
In this meeting, six voluntary national standards on intelligent and connected vehicle, such as GB/T 44461.1-2024, Intelligent and connected vehicle—Technical requirements and testing methods for combined driver assistance system—Part 1: Single-lane manoeuvre, and three mandatory national standards including GB 44495-2024, Technical requirements for vehicle cybersecurity, were released. These standards will further improve the standards system for intelligent and connected vehicle, which are of great significance to improve the consistency of these vehicles, support the industrial regulation, ensure the safety of intelligent and connected vehicle, and facilitate the sound and sustainable development of the industry.
In the next step, SAMR will closely focus on the market demands and industrial transformation and upgrading requirements, further intensify efforts to develop relevant standards, constantly improve the national standards systems for intelligent and connected vehicle, strengthen the publicity and implementation of standards, so as to continuously exert the leading and supporting role of standardization in driving the high-quality development of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain and ensuring the safety and stability of the industrial chain.
The event was attended by officials from Shenzhen Municipal Government, Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation. Representatives from China Automotive Industry Association, Chinese Automotive Technology and Research Center, as well as finished vehicle and parts enterprises for intelligent and connected vehicles also participated.
