The 23rd Northeast Asia Standards Cooperation Forum Held in Xi’an

The 23rd Northeast Asia Standards Cooperation Forum was held in Xi’an, China’s Shaanxi province from July 21 to 23, where participants shared the latest development in standardization in China, Japan and South Korea, and conducted exchanges on deepening standardization cooperation among the three countries. Representatives of the three countries signed the Resolution of the 23rd Northeast Asia Standards Cooperation Forum.

 

Other meetings were held in conjunction, including the Meeting of the Standing Committee on China-Japan-ROK Standards Cooperation, as well as bilateral meetings on standardization cooperation between China and Japan, China and South Korea, and Japan and South Korea. In-depth exchanges were carried out on international standards cooperation in technical fields such as quantum technology, smart cities, circular economy, sustainable electrified transportation, pet products, and humanoid robots. In addition, discussions were conducted on further strengthening the training of young experts on international standards and enhancing cooperation under the frameworks of APEC and PASC.

 

The event brought together more than 120 participants from national standardization bodies and standardization associations of China, Japan and South Korea, the Shaanxi Administration for Market Regulation, and relevant research institutes and enterprises.
