SAMR (SAC) recently approved and released a batch of important national standards, covering home life, childcare and elderly care, agricultural production, emerging industries, resource utilization and other aspects. These standards will play an important role in promoting the high-quality economic and social development and balancing development and security.
In terms of home life, 26 national standards for flame-retardant fabrics, whole shoe, assembled glasses, household appliances and other products will continuously improve the quality of daily consumer goods. Three national standards on voice interaction technology for smart home appliances, digital fitting, and requirements for the carbon footprint quantification of plastic products will lead the new trends of intelligence, greenness, and consumption. Two national standards for housekeeping service and community e-commerce will facilitate home life services.
In terms of childcare and elderly care, six national standards on guidelines for the design and application of infant and children product labels and requirements of infant and children products for sensory integration training will make the use of such products safer and more comfortable. Six national standards on boarding wheelchairs, absorbent incontinence products for urine and/or faeces, lower-limb prostheses, tourism services for elderly, age-friendly e-commerce platforms, and guidelines for the age-friendly design of home products will improve the life convenience of the elderly and the disabled.
In terms of agricultural production, a series of 11 national standards, such as GB/T 3543.1-2025, Rules for agricultural seed testing–General directives, will ensure the variety quality and sowing quality of seeds. Three national standards for mulberry silkworm cocoons can standardize the inspection and technical procedures of mulberry silkworm cocoons. Two national standards for instruments for water stage measurement and soil mapping will provide technical guidance for water stage measurement and general survey of soil. Two national standards, such as the general technical conditions for high-horsepower wheeled tractors, can promote the intelligent transformation of agricultural tractors and enhance the competitiveness of tractors made in China.
In terms of emerging industries, seven national standards on vehicle communication, autonomous driving, and vehicle power batteries will facilitate the high-end, intelligent, and green upgrading of the automotive industry, and ensure the driving safety during travel. Four national standards for vehicle network time synchronization, on-board energy storage and power supply, and train communication networks, can ensure the safe and stable operation of the rail transit system.
In terms of resource utilization, two national standards for testing technologies, such as the determination of phenolic compounds in coal-based liquid phase and the direct measurement of the density of liquid petroleum products, can improve the analysis accuracy and promote the research, development, and application of technologies. Two national standards for petroleum products, such as benzene and asphalt, will boost the standardization of product production. Two national standards for the unified development of marine resources will drive the development of marine resources and marine economy.
