Dr. Tian Shihong, Vice Minister of SAMR and Administrator of SAC, met with Dr. Sung Hwan Cho, President of ISO, on May 14 in Beijing. Both sides made in-depth exchanges on topics such as China’s participation in international standardization, ISO’s governance and standardization education.
According to Dr. Tian, China, as a member body of ISO, has been actively taking its responsibilities and liabilities. As a supporter, advocator and participant of international rules, China will continue to participate in the ISO’s governance and international standards development in a more positive manner, keeping contributing Chinese wisdom to the improvement of international standards system.
Dr. Cho fully affirmed China’s contribution to the international standardization work of ISO, and said that ISO would continue to support China’s involvement in international standardization activities.
