SAMR recently released the foreign language versions of 75 national standards, which cover agricultural production, transport and logistics, and intelligent manufacturing. These standards will play an essential role in promoting trade facilitation and serving international cooperation and communication.

In terms of agricultural production, the foreign language versions of two standards on soya bean and wheat will help facilitate international communication and cooperation in the area of grain, increase the supply of quality soya bean and wheat, and help establish a good landscape for international grain trade and cooperation. The foreign language versions of two standards on grain and oil machinery will further improve the overseas recognition of China’s grain and oil processing machinery and equipment, and drive the international application of relevant excellent products and technologies.

In terms of transport and logistics, the foreign language versions of two standards on rail transit, such as GB/T 12817-2021 on general technical specification for railway passenger car, will push forward the growth of China’s rail transit equipment export trade and promote the integration and interoperability of international rail transit technologies. The foreign language versions of three national standards, including GB/T 42820-2023 on classification and codes for intermodal transport cargo, will help reduce the costs and risks of cross-border logistics, help enterprises conduct cross-border trade more conveniently, and further promote the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment.

In terms of intelligent manufacturing, the foreign language version of GB/T 43919-2024 on integrating requirements of digital manufacturing workshop for civil aviation forgings can help eliminate the data gap between international aviation manufacturing enterprises in various processes and technological equipment, further enhance the overall digital and intelligent level of the industry, and help realize the transformation and upgrading of international intelligent manufacturing.
