SAMR (SAC) Releases a Batch of Important National Standards

SAMR (SAC) recently released a batch of important national standards covering the aspects such as agriculture and forestry, grain storage, people’s life, emerging industries, green development and environmental protection, as well as production safety, which will play an essential role in promoting high-quality economic and social development and coordinating development and safety.

 

In terms of agriculture and forestry and grain storage, 21 national standards on high-standard farmland construction, beautiful villages as well as animal hygiene, feed, and fiber will constantly improve the standards system for the full industrial chain of agriculture, facilitate the construction of beautiful and livable villages, and contribute to rural revitalization. Another 17 national standards on inspection, machinery and storage of grain and oil will provide technical support for normative grain and oil storage.

 

In terms of people’s life, GB 19272-2024, Safety for outdoor body-building equipment—General requirements, and two national standards on snow and ice sport events will help boost the national strength on sports and implement national fitness plans, and serve the requirements of mass sports and fitness. Two national standards on home care of infants and maternal and infant care services will further improve the service quality of the nursery industry. Another four national standards will greatly improve the quality of textile, garment and footwear products.

 

In terms of emerging industries, three national standards on artificial intelligence (AI) will regulate the management of AI. A total of 11 national standards on intelligent manufacturing will specify the production process control as well as related equipment and design requirements of digital workshops, driving the new quality productive forces in the area. Two national standards including GB/T 18912-2024, Salt mist corrosion testing of photovoltaic (PV) modules, and GB/T 45075-2024, General specification for echelon use of decommissioning photovoltaic modules, will contribute to the sustainable and healthy development of the photovoltaic industry.

 

In terms of ecological and environmental protection, five national standards including GB/T 21369-2024, Specification for equipping and managing of measuring instrument of energy in fossil power plants, will help enterprises equip and manage energy measuring instruments, apply the green and low-carbon ideas, and facilitate the energy conservation and carbon reduction. Three national standards will provide technical support for preventing and controlling land degradation and desertification, and strengthening climate adaptation capability. Seven national standards including GB/T 45077-2024, Guidelines for national park project construction, will provide technical support for protecting biodiversity and safeguarding national ecological security.

 

In terms of production safety, four mandatory national standards such as GB 17681-2024, Technical specification for safety monitoring of major hazard installations for hazardous chemicals, will further specify the production process management of hazardous chemicals, and improve the safety and emergency capacity of enterprises. Another 10 mandatory national standards on major firefighting products such as fire window, fire detection and fire alarm system can upgrade related technical indicators, help raise the performance and quality of firefighting products, and practically ensure the security of lives and property of people.

 

In addition, SAMR (SAC) also released the standards for transport, technical measures to trade, meteorological disaster prevention and reduction, government services, and other areas.
