SAMR (SAC) Releases a Batch of Important National Standards

SAMR (SAC) has recently approved and released a batch of important national standards, covering many fields such as transportation, agriculture and rural areas, work safety, and high technology. These standards will play a significant role in promoting high-quality economic and social development, and coordinating development and security.

 

In the field of transportation, two voluntary national standards on classification & grading of bus and trolleybus transit stop and air-rail intermodal passenger transport service will help facilitate the public travel. The mandatory national standard GB 36980.1-2025, Energy consumption limits for electric vehicles—Part 1: Passenger cars, the first one in the world, will significantly raise the requirements compared to the previous edition, and upgrade the energy efficiency in the new energy vehicle industry.

 

The mandatory national standard, GB 21670-2025, Technical requirements and testing methods for passenger car braking systems, responds to the concerns of consumers. Mandatory national standards for fuel tanks, lighting devices, graphic symbols and other aspects of motorcycles will enhance the safety level of motorcycles and promote the upgrading of products.

 

In the field of agriculture and rural areas, 13 voluntary national standards for agricultural machinery, such as GB/T 45824-2025, Specification for construction of waste agricultural machinery recycling system, will help improve the standards system for the circular utilization of agricultural machinery and support the high-quality and green development of agricultural machinery. 

 

Four voluntary national standards for detection of animals and plants will provide support for seed transportation as well as animal and plant detection and identification. Six voluntary national standards for fertilizers, fruit and vegetable inspection and testing, feed, fibers and other products will drive the high-quality development of related industries in areas such as quality improvement, green production, and technological innovation.

 

In the field of work safety, seven mandatory national standards in the field of work safety, including GB 2894-2025, Safety colours and safety signs, will further standardize and strengthen safety management in the production process and enhance enterprises’ safety emergency response capabilities.

 

Three mandatory national standards for key fire protection products, such as GB 20517-2025, Self-contained smoke alarms using scattered light or transmitted light, will update relevant technical indicators, helping improve the performance and quality of fire protection products and effectively safeguarding the lives and property of the people.

 

In the field of high technology, 30 voluntary national standards for semiconductor devices, electromagnetic compatibility, electronics assembly and other technologies will help achieve leapfrog development in product performance and quality.

 

Eight voluntary national standards for rail transit, remote sensing satellites and related aspects will focus on standardizing traffic management and ensuring the efficiency and quality of satellite data transmission to the ground. Four voluntary national standards for industrial glasses, such as GB/T 45664-2025, Environmental test method for electrically heated aircraft transparencies, will further promote the application of deep-processing glass products with high added value.
