SAMR (SAC) recently approved and released a number of key national standards, covering emerging fields, industrial development, workplace safety, high-quality agricultural development, people’s daily lives and other areas. These standards will play an important role in improving people’s quality of life and safeguarding life and property safety.
In terms of emerging fields, twenty-four voluntary national standards for semiconductor devices, robots, quantum communication, bionic structures, and digital twins are released, which boost the large-scale development of the new-generation information technology. Thirteen voluntary national standards applying to acoustics, optics and related devices are developed to promote the wide application of acousto-optic technologies. Twenty-nine voluntary national standards, covering electrical and electronic equipment, virtual power plants, photovoltaic power generation are made, and will strengthen electrical safety and improve energy utilization. Five voluntary national standards on electronic documents and information technology metadata help to advance the standardization of data.
In terms of industrial development, twenty-eight voluntary national standards, including GB/T 47237-2026, Foundry machinery—Shakeout and decoring equipment—Safety technical specifications, are released, which will support the transformation and upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry. Thirty voluntary national standards, including those for test methods for ceramic tiles, chemical composition analysis methods for resin-based artificial stones, and determination of non-volatile matter content in adhesives are published, which will promote the standardized development of the material analysis and testing industry. A mandatory national standard GB 30255-2019, Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades of LED products for indoor lighting, will drive the high-quality, green and low-carbon development of the lighting industry. A voluntary national standard GB/T 47284-2026, Industrial design—Guidelines for safety design of intelligent function, will reduce safety risks arising from the implementation of intelligent functions in industrial design.
In terms of workplace safety, five mandatory national standards in the firefighting sector, including GB 25204-2026, Auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system, and GB 6969-2026, Fire suction hose, will upgrade product performance requirements and lead technological progress of relevant products. Four mandatory national standards in the coal mine safety sector, including GB 47290-2026, Technical specification for fire prevention and extinguishing in coal mine, and GB 47291-2026, Technical requirements for coal mine compressed air self-rescue system, will promote mine safety governance toward systematic prevention. Four voluntary national standards in the hazardous chemical management sector, the GB/T 44692 series for equipment integrity of hazardous chemical enterprises will improve the process safety management level of hazardous chemical enterprises.
In terms of high-quality agricultural development, forty-three voluntary national standards in the seed industry, including those for maize seeds, livestock genetic resource conservation farms, breeding livestock and poultry, and fish germplasm inspection, will promote the protection, identification and breeding of animal and plant varieties and support the revitalization of the seed industry. Fifty-four voluntary national standards in the pesticide sector, including the GB/T 17980 series on guidelines for the field efficacy trials of pesticides, and 25 voluntary national standards in the field of animal and plant disease prevention and control, including the GB/T 22330 series on specified animal disease free zone, will boost the green development of agriculture. Forty-seven voluntary national standards, covering grain, oils, fruits, vegetables, meat and other agricultural products, will standardize product quality and testing and improve the quality of agricultural products.
In terms of people’s daily lives, three voluntary national standards, including GB/T 19877-2026, Special cleaner for personal use, will drive the quality upgrading of personal care and cleaning products. Three national standards, including GB/T 30417-2026, General technical requirements for lacquerware, and GB/T 26845-2026, Textile floor coverings—Assessment of changes in appearance, will help improve the quality of home life.
